Learn to Belong

Lesson one:

Belonging isn't luck. It's a skill you can practice.

Learn to Belong turns the everyday English your new life in the US asks of you into short, gentle practice: your own sentences, natural phrasing, real audio, checked by native teachers.

Built for ADHD and dyslexic brains, too. Small steps count.

The syllabus

What you'll practice

No textbook dialogues about strangers on trains. Just the moments you actually walk into this week.

  1. The sentences of your week

Jot down what you need to say at the pharmacy, the bank or the office. You get it back in natural American phrasing, with clear audio to copy.

  2. Listening in short, kind loops

Your sentences play back in bounded sessions of a few minutes up to half an hour, then stop on their own. Steady practice, no marathon.

  3. Phrasing that sounds like you belong

Native teachers check the sentences, so what you practice is what people really say, not what a phrasebook guessed.

Five sentences worth knowing by heart

Each card is a sentence newcomers use all the time. Turn it over for why it works and when to reach for it.

Card 1 of 5

Click, tap, Enter or Space turns the card. Arrow keys move between cards.

One more thing to practice:

Saying yes to the first lesson.
